quiet luxury
Discovered this one several years ago, and it's since been a staple in my fragrance collection, in fact its in my top 5 as it's so refined, classy and utterly gorgeous. I own a lot of fragrances, but nothing quite compares to this and it feels lighter and fresher than some of my other oud scents so it's far more wearable; it also layers extremely well with so many other fragrances, Jo Malone or otherwise. It's not an overpowering scent, but it makes it presence known for sure, I've been asked multiple times what I'm wearing, mid-way through the day when I'm not as aware of the fragrance myself. I generally top up, once or twice during the day, simply as I love doing so, but even without a top up, its still there in a more subtle way - I absolutely love the dry-down. This to me feels like a 'quiet luxury' fragrance - although I'm disappointed that the oud & bergamot body crème seems to have been discontinued, as this made a good base for the fragrance and helps also with longevity, however, I sometimes layer over Le Labo santal 33 or JM grapefruit, orange blossom or pom noir body lotion or body cremes. Normally I go for the large bottle, but wanted a couple of the little bottles to throw in my handbag & for travel - I purchased two and they came in a really nice JM black vegan leather case.
